You pull the loan statement out of your pocket, gazing down at it. It was all predatory- you come to terms with. Even when you tried to help, it didn’t do much at all but caused more build-up in their debt. The high interest loans, the exponential costs of the property, the sharp eviction- if only you truly knew.

The air holds silent, as you think about what should be done. You look towards the picture, remembering the missing portrait from down in the living room. What if you didn’t destroy the house- not repurposed the property and instead gave it back to its owners. They could have it again- and you would be able to undo the wrong- freeing you from the house's grasp…

… Though on the other hand, what else really could have been done? The family didn’t have to pull out the loans- they could have just accepted they no longer were financially-stable enough to own such a property. Not to mention, this property trapped you inside- this place is nothing but trouble and evil. You turn your attention towards the axe, thinking now might require more desperate measures in order to leave.

What should you do?
